About Us

Welcome to Updates Today, a South African website that shares job information, career advice, bursary and student finance guides, and practical money tips for job seekers and students.

Who We Are

Updates Today was founded and is run by Mpho Liven. I started this website to help South Africans find clear, practical information in one place, whether they are looking for their first job, planning to study, or trying to manage their money better.

My goal is to make useful information easier to understand and access, particularly for young people, students, graduates and individuals looking for better opportunities.

What We Publish

Our website covers a range of topics, including:

• Career advice, including CV and cover letter tips and interview preparation.
• Job-search guidance for graduates and first-time job seekers.
• Bursary, NSFAS and student finance information.
• Personal finance and money-management tips.
• Business ideas, funding information and guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs.
• Government and private-sector vacancy information.

How We Create and Check Our Content

We write our guides to be clear, practical and relevant to South Africa. Where we refer to official programmes, such as NSFAS, we link to official sources so readers can confirm the details themselves.

We aim to keep our articles accurate and update them when we find that information has changed.

Vacancies, bursaries and funding programmes have their own requirements, closing dates and application processes. Readers should always confirm these details with the relevant employer, institution or official source before applying.

Independent Website

Updates Today is an independent information website. We are not a recruitment agency, financial adviser or part of the South African government.

We do not guarantee employment, funding or any particular outcome. Mentions of government departments, companies and organisations are for informational purposes only and do not imply an official partnership or affiliation unless specifically stated.

We take corrections seriously and aim to update articles when necessary to improve the accuracy and usefulness of the information we publish.

Thank you for visiting Updates Today and being part of our growing community.
